Any ideas what it is? It seems to do it regardless of load.

Did you pull the fault codes?

its prolly the knocka sensor or the air intake temp... however if its regardless of load, my guess is the knock sensor.....

the air intake temp sensor is a common fault, but usually only manifests when the WOT switch is triggered... however, the knock sensor comes into operation aslong as the engine is above 3000 rpm.... if i were you i would check the electrical connections on both...
if you know how, do a drive and trigger the CEL and then check the codes..... thats your best bet...

I was thinking its the knock sensors. I haven't checked the codes before, but after reading up on SJM Autotechnik it looks like I have to buy an led and and a resistor to do this? Also, would this cause the MAC-14 to pull back on the timing? Because I seem to be down on power.

yes , an led and resistor is like 2 cents.... and yes it would cause you to lose power

do you have noisy lifters? lol
thats generally my problem.... if i get a lifter ticking alot it tricks the knock sensor

Ahh I did notice my lifters were *really* noisy after I was out and about boosting :) So noisy that I checked my oil to see if it was low. That could be the problem.

If you've got the CEL, then just use the fuse in the FP relay. It worked on my car...
