Well...

The cylinder 3 didn't like something (I have not open it yet) so it decided to seize the crankshaft.

I went on the road for a shake down for the next race (01/22). I put the car to a grueling test. It was going fine until I lost power. I went home and went to check for spark, but since then the engine seized.
I checked the plugs and the electrode of cyl 3 was missing, a clear signal of knocking or worse.

I'll have more details when I take it apart, but this will have to wait until after the rally.

Now, I'm removing the NF and re-installing the original KX which BTW has a whoping 90 hp at the wheels.

I bet this is the only KX in stock mode with the 034EFI, or any other EFI. I might be able to break into the 100 hp! :-)

Later,

Carlos.

ps. The good thing is that I'll have an excuse to finish the NF/7A hybrid engine.

Damn that sucks? I'd highly suggest running a Saab APC box! I honestly can't believe more of you guys are not running them for a knock light.

Rob,

I'm going to run Sandblast in SC, but I want to go to Snowdrift someday.

I did run the new FW and it does make a difference. The combination of the FW and the short close ratio transmission is awesome!

I have a knock light, but it didn't blink, which means either is not a knock or the light is screwed.

I really need one that works on my next engine which will sport a 13.2:1 CR. Don't you think?

Cheers,

Carlos.
