Decided to pressure test the intake again on my 10v 200. This time I pressure tested it at about 15 psi and used soapy water to find the leaks. found several, see bubbles:

1. Both sides of my new 034 mm hose with t-bar clamps and hairspray! My wife told me the hairspray I used isn't very sticky so maybe that's the problem, lol. How are you guys getting these things to seal up?

2. Throttle body gasket leaking a little pretty much all the way around and alot at the bottom. No good picture of that but you can the top leaking in the picture above.

3. Pretty good leak at ISV at electircal connector! Anyone have a good idea for this one?

4. It's still bubbling at the adjustment bolt on the wastegate cap even after I added some permatex thread sealer.

Any advice on sealing up these pesky leaks is appreciated. Especially the mm hose.

thanks,

Jeff

t-bolt clamps suck for most types of seals on cars since they don't work well with small sizes and slightly imperfect shapes. Go back to regular hose worm drive hose clamps there (try to find the good ones...rolled edges if possible) and see if that helps.

:stupid: Get yourself some ABA brand clamps they work the best. There are two different types "nova" more narrow width 9mm wide and "original" 12mm wide. The skinner the clamp the better it will hold specifically around the TB tear drop.

I wouldn't worry too much about most of those leaks they are pretty minor. It isn't like a gas leak where a small leak can be dangerous

Ill check out those ABA clamps. I originally tried it with the stock clamps but it leaked even worse. The original mm hose didn't leak at all when I pressure tested it. It looks like the original mm hose is thicker on the sides of the teardrop which makes the clamp curve around it some creating some clamping pressure.
