Truly amazing car to see in person if you know what you are looking at. Wish I had asked for a ride in the one I got to sit in last year. Those seats are just as comfy as they look.

I love this car. My favorite part is the back seat!

Agreed, I asked to sit in it but the guy working there said they're not allowed to let anyone in that car. The car really is something amazing to see in person if you know the story behind it. Sadly to most people that walk through there it's just an old Audi.

LOL at the rear seat. Yep, you could daily drive a sport and hardly anyone would know what it is. I wonder what the insurance premium is on one of those?

This little red slut has been at Carlisle a few times and I LOVE when it is Its the only SQ Ive ever seen in person. I cant access fb at work but I was going to link the picture of me filling it up with gas after Carlisle a few years ago. Nice that you guys get to see it in NYC.

Hahaha I remember seeing that picture on FB a while back. It's the only one I've ever seen also. Truly amazing. Now all they need to do is get the S1 that's going to be at Pikes Peak this year over here and park them side by side!

When walking into the building you're greeted by a nice gentleman at the desk and as you look to your right there it is, sitting between an R8 and a TT-RS in all its glory. I can't explain the feeling I got when I saw it. I felt like a little kid in a toy store. On the other side of the building they had a 24 Hours of Le Mans winning R8 on a turn table also. I highly recommend any fan of older Audi's to go and take a look at this car and really appreciate it. When I spoke to the gentleman that worked there he said the car will be there for the next few weeks so there is still some time to see it. I didn't take my DSLR with me so all I have is a few cell phone pics, and they really don't do this car justice.
Those pictures were from my company on FB; glad you enjoyed the experience. It was a major undertaking to have both of those cars on display there. Truly a logistical nightmare to get those cars in the building. Required some insanely early Saturday morning maneuvering and a little Audi style traffic control of 47th street. The R8 LMP1 bottomed out just a few times to say the least lol. The LeMans R8 on display is chassis #605... McNish's car. PSG, Audi, and Kettler had a blast arranging these cars to be on display. They will be there until June 30th.

I dont think Ive ever layed a finger on it to be honest. People teased me when they saw the picture because my hand was SO close to it but not touching. Didnt feel right since it wasnt mine. Im iffy about that kind of stuff

Thanks for going through the troubles of bringing this gem out for people to see it. True enthusiasts like myself appreciate it. Give me a shout on Facebook (Dominik Pelc) when they're gonna be taking the cars away I'd love to see them running.
